President
Prof. Akua Kuenyehia is a retired Judge of the International Criminal Court (ICC) at The Hague. Her investiture and induction as President of MCU took place on 12th January, 2013 in Accra. While at the ICC, she was First Vice President of the Court and President of the Appeals Division. Before her ICC appointment, she was a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Ghana and a Law lecturer. She is also an advocate of women and human rights.

He holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology; Operations Management & Marketing (MBA) degree and Post-Graduate Studies in Education (IDD&E), both from Syracuse University, USA, a certificate in Advanced Management Programme (AMP), Harvard University, USA, and a Certificate in Public Enterprise Management, National University of Singapore. He attended Mfantsipim Secondary School, Cape Coast.
Founder
Educated at the University of Ghana, Mr. Ansa-Asare is a Lawyer by profession and also has broad experience in the field of administration. He co-founded MountCrest University College in 2008 with his wife, Mrs. Helena Ansa-Asare.
Prior to starting the University, he was the Director of Legal Education and Director, Ghana School of Law from October 2002 to December 2013. Before then he had been a Lecturer at the Law School from 1987, rising to the rank of Senior Lecturer in 1992.
