FACULTY OF LAWS

FACULTY OVERVIEW

The Faculty of Laws was among the first faculties established at the MountCrest University College. The faculty adopts a liberal approach towards preparing and equipping a new generation of Law graduates with knowledge that will enable them to be influential and ethically minded citizens with the requisite competencies to integrate better into every sphere of human endeavour upon graduation. The faculty was, thus, created on the basis of these guiding principles.

OUR VISION

“To become a world-class teaching and research university, educating for life and addressing the challenges facing contemporary society.”

OUR MISSION

“To train and prepare a new generation of graduates in body, mind and spirit, for the transformation of society.”

MCU is an institution for both the young and old and takes issues of diversity and transformation seriously. The structure of our programmes takes into account the varied nationalities and backgrounds of our students.

Accordingly, we organise regular morning, evening and weekend programmes for both workers and young students who have met our admission requirements; either the West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSSCE) or General Certificate of Education (GCE) “Advanced Level” Examination. We also admit mature candidates aged 25 years and above at the time of submitting their application with at least five passes at the GCE “Ordinary Level” Examination. This enables family persons with busy work schedules to juggle work, home and family life together.

We also admit international students who meet our admission requirements. For more information on the admission requirements, please visit;

How To Apply

At MCU, we offer high-quality education to prepare graduates to enter new careers or make appreciable progress in their already chosen careers. We have highly qualified, distinguished and dedicated lecturers who are ready to impart knowledge and produce the next generation of scholars and workforce for both the public and private sectors, locally and internationally.
